Israel's Legal International Right's Ignored by BDSers

Nadene Goldfoot
After King Solomon died in 920 BCE, Israel divided into Israel and Judah due to political differences.
King Saul ruled first, about 1,000 BC, then David,  followed by son Solomon.  Jordanians started
calling Judea and Samaria, the West Bank-west bank of the Jordan River.
      What the BDS movement against Israel is doing is spreading lies about the legal rights that Israel has.  They are also hurting the very Palestinian Arabs that they think they are helping.  They are interferring with their rights to employment.  That's usually what meddlers do-mess up people's lives, not help them because they're poor at getting the facts.

BDS movement wants to stop Caterpiller from selling tractors in Israel.
"The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement (BDS Movement) is a global campaign attempting to increase economic and political pressure on Israel to comply with the stated goals of the movement: the end of Israel's occupation and colonization of Palestinian land and the Golan Heights, full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and respect for the right of return of Palestinian refugees."  Arab Palestinans have had full equality since they became citizens.  They're in the Knesset and every other form of whatever citizens have.  The only difference for them is that they are not expected to enter the army.  Only those that have wanted to, like the Druze, do this.  The Arabs would like to flood the state with more Arab relatives connected to them, or not, but this is the one and only Jewish state.
War of Independence 1947-1949, Jews from the Holocaust, surviving those horrors only
to be met with a war in their new home-and this time they are soldiers.

The balance is not to be altered.  We now have a ratio of 6 million Jews to 1.7 million Arab citizens of Israel.   The "OTHERS" the Palestinians want to come in are descendants of those  who were in the land when Israel became a state on May 14, 1948 fled, told to leave as the Arab armies were coming to take over and it was after that that they could have Jewish homes, treasures, etc.  They had their chance and blew it.  They followed the wrong people, not the Jews who begged them to stay.  Golan Heights is not going back to Arab hands who had it before and rained all the rockets, mortars and missiles from there down onto Israelis.  NO WAY!  Jews also have a right to live where they are in Judea and Samaria.   ABC sections have already been discussed.  Now, how about talking about peace and not continuance of attacking Israelis?  First, stop the attacks so that people are in the mood to talk about their problems and solving them.

The mandate of Palestine covered ALL the land of Palestine.  What you're looking at today
is mostly what has become Jordan.

WWI lasted from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918; 4 years, 3 months, 2 weeks long.  It took place in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Pacific Islands, China and off the coast of South and North America.

  The Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria joined the Central Powers against the Allies.  Palestine was a part of the Ottoman Empire.  Turkey lost their Ottoman Empire.  The Arabs are still in denial about it.
The facts are that after WWI  in 1922,  representatives of the Jewish people were in conferences with the Allies.   The League of Nations Mandate for Palestine was given to the British.  The body of the League of Nations  Mandate recognized the Jewish National Rights in the WHOLE of the mandated territory of Palestine.

Recognition was given because the Jews had such a historical connections with Palestine and needed to claim their rightful place where they had been forced out and was to reconstitute their National Home in this land of Palestine again.  The members of the League of Nations did not create the rights of the Jewish People.  What they did was RECOGNIZE A PRE-EXISTING RIGHT.  This was the 2,000 year old quest of the Jewish people to re-establish their homeland.

1949 Armistice Lines
By 1946, Israel's rights were preserved under the United Nations (UN) as well.  This is according to Article 80 of the UN CHARTER.  This established that nothing in the UN Charter should be construed to alter in any manner the rights whatsoever of any states or any  peoples or the terms of EXISTING INTERNATIONAL INSTRUMENTS.

These rights were unaffacted by the UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY RESOLUTION  181 of November 1947's Partition Plan, which was a NON-BINDING RECOMMENDATION  that was rejected by the Palestinians and the Arab states.   This is all documented.

JORDAN occupied the West Bank (Judea and Samaria-original Jewish land of the Israelites; king Saul, king David, King Solomon).  They had stolen the land by their illegal invasion in 1948 IN DEFIANCE of the UN SECURITY COUNCIL.  Then they had the temerity to annex the West Bank in 1950.  Remember, Abdullah was a prince from SAUDI ARABIA, not a native Palestinian, nor a Jew.  He was an outsider who had helped the Allies win WWI in the Middle East, same as the Jews did, only he had more men who fought.

Jordan's annexation of the WEST BANK was recognized by Pakistan and Great Britain but excluded the annexation of Jerusalem.  The ANNEXATION by Jordan was rejected by most of the international community, including THE ARAB STATES!

Jordan insisted that the 1949 Armistice Line, the Israeli-Jordanian boundary until 1967, was not a recognized international border but ONLY A LINE SEPARATING ARMIES.  The Armistice Line Agreement specifically states:  NO PROVISION OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL IN ANY WAY PREJUDICE THE RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND POSITIONS OF EITHER PARTY HERETO IN THE PEACEFUL SETTLEMENT OF THE PALESTINE QUESTIONS, THE PROVISIONS OF THE AGREEMENT BEING DICTATED EXCLUSIVELY BY MILITARY CONSIDERATIONS.  (Article II.2)

Israel-9 miles wide.
NEVER was the word, "Occupation" used legally in other situations.  BUT ONLY IN THIS CASE, WITH THE WEST BANK AND GAZA, where no internationally recognized sovereign control previously existed, ISRAEL WAS LABELED WITH THE STIGMA AS AN "OCCUPIER."   There have been many other cases where international borders were crossed in armed conflicts and sovereign territory was seized; even in clear-cut cases of aggression.

EGYPT HAD BEEN OCCUPYING THE GAZA STRIP.  They also had invaded the land illegally in 1948, the time of Israel's announcement of their state which was the time of their fight, The War of Independence that was from November 29, 1947 to 1949 when the parties signed the Armistice Agreements.  This was a war started by the Arabs because they would not accept the UN partition resolution.  They came in from Syria, Lebanon and Egypt.   to reinforce local Arabs who were attacking Jews.

This was also a time that Jews held in Holocaust camps  were coming out of the Holocaust and needed a home.  They didn't want to return to Poland or Ukraine, places the native population had been helpers of the Nazis to kill them off.  They needed Israel and had been kept from there before even in 1940-41.Those that managed to arrive illegally themselves were thrust into fighting for their new country's life!

Where the prior holder of territory had seized that territory unlawfully, the state which subsequently takes that territory in the lawful exercise of SELF DEFENSE has, against that prior holder, better title.  So said Stephen Schwebel, former State Dept. Legal Advisor in 1970.  International jurists generally do draw a DISTINCTION between situations of "AGGRESSIVE CONQUEST"  after a war of "SELF DEFENSE".
The West Bank was to be part of the new Israel.  That was a deal.  It was stolen during an aggressive conquest.  Israel was fighting in self-defense.  Stephen Schwebel later headed the International Court of Justice in the Hague.
2007; Judea/Samaria (West Bank)- Jewish towns.

Israel only entered the West Bank AFTER repeated Jordanian artillery fire and ground movements across the previous armistice lines.  Jordan attacked at 10:00am.  Israel warned them to stop through contacts at the UN at 11:00am.  Jordan continued hitting Israel.  Israel's military action began at 12:45pm.  By then, Iraqi forces crossed Jordanian territory and were poised to enter the West Bank.  The temporary armistice boundaries of 1949 lost all validity the moment Jordanian forces revoked the armistice and attacked.     Israel took control of the West Bank as a result of a DEFENSIVE WAR.

June 1967 IDF Finally were able to visit the Western Wall in Jerusalem after the battle was over
and Israel had won.

Palestinians continue the fight by using the term, OCCUPATION, REPEATEDLY.  In this way they manage to reverse the causality of the conflict, and those judging it, the media, the governments, are too weak in their judgments to see the differences.  The people who use this term, Occupation or occupiers, are obfuscating this history.  The territorial disputes giving reasons to use BDS against Israel as one form of a weapon is not the result of a war imposed on Israel by a coalition of Arab states in 1967, rather more by the lies by the Palestinians.
Gaza, Israel pulled out for the sake of Peace-Sharon was Prime Minister.
It took place from August 15 to September 12, 2005.  Instead,
they've been shelled by the Arabs from there.

The results of the fighting is that Israel was only expected to withdraw FROM THE TERRITORIES to secure and recognized boundaries.   Israel was not expected to withdraw from THE territories or ALL the territories captured in the Six Day War of 1967.  You may say this is being picky-but it's a part of law. Lawyers have to recognize these important but teeny words and what they mean legally. (UN Security Council Resolution 242) The UN Security Council recognized that Israel was ENTITLED TO PART OF THESE  TERRITORIES FOR NEW DEFENSIBLE BORDERS.  242 MEANT THAT iSRAEL WILL NOT WITHDRAW FROM ALL THE TERRITORIES.

With Resolution 338, it became clear that ONLY NEGOTIATIONS WOULD DETERMINE WHICH PART OF THESE TERRITORIES WOULD BECOME ISRAELI TERRITORIES AND TERRITORIES TO BE KEPT BY ISRAEL'S ARAB COUNTERPART.
According the the UN's charter Article 80, nothing should be construed to alter in any manner the rights.
Israel has legal rights with respect to the West Bank and Gaza Strip that appear to be ignored by international observers who keep saying that Israel is an OCCUPIER.  Israel is not a foreign OCCUPIER with no territorial rights.  Israel has strong historical rights to the land that were already RECOGNIZED by the main bodies serving as the source of international legitimacy in the previous century.

Judea and Samaria are divided by further talks into areas A, B, and C.  One is for the Palestinians, one for the Jews and one they both are in.  The Palestinians build illegally in the wrong places,  yet the international community stays blind to what they do illegally.

BDS'ers Crusading against Israelis

We already know that Israel  pulled out of Gaza completely in the name of a promised peace which has given them nothing but a constant rain, a storm of rockets, mortars and missiles.  This is the opposite of a promised peace.  This is what Israel has experienced by listening to the Left.  Now they must protect themselves from a people who do not care at all to have their own state and live in peace with their neighbor, Israel.  BDSers are simply Old Crusaders  wanting to draw Jewish blood.

What Does An Authenticist Look Like?

America is in great need of principle-centered authenticists
In today's post, I describe the character and characteristics of an authentic man or woman freed from the shackles of postmodernism and pre-structuralism.

Freedom Focused did not invent authenticism, nor are we the first to develop authentic men or women.

Authenticists have always existed.  Their presence and power has been more populous and potent in various places at various junctures of human history than at others.

When they have thrived and governed, peace and prosperity have flourished.  Where they have atrophied and diminished, bondage, poverty, and war have compounded.  In principle, it really is that simple, and in practice, it is precisely that difficult.  While many examples of authenticism and its fruits can be mined from the pages of history, in the aggregate of history it has been the exception rather than the rule.

One of the things I love about poetry is its capacity to teach true principles and laud noble practices exhibited by men and women of sterling and noble character.  Authentic poets throughout history have recognized the pedagogical value of verse and used it to inculcate worthy ideas into the minds of their readers.  In more recent times, postmodern poets have sought to eradicate authentic ideals from their poems, preferring instead to wallow away into black holes of academic pontification that are as practically useless and spiritually vapid as they are intellectually complex.

William Wordsworth
1770-1850
British Poet Laureate
One of the greatest, and most authentic, poets in the history of the English Language—William Wordsworth—once said:

"Every great poet is a teacher; I wish either to be considered as a teacher or as nothing."

This is one of the reasons I see myself first as a pedagogue, and only afterwards as a poet, historian, and philosopher.  In the end, the value of poetry is largely superficial and fleeting if it does not teach readers something useful to the advancement of their existence.

Wordsworth himself taught the world about authenticism—and what an "authenticist" is—in the early nineteenth century (1806) when he blithely described the character of "The Happy Warrior."

Who is the happy Warrior?  Who is he
That every man in arms should wish to be?...

Authenticists are the Happy Warriors of the twenty-first century.  The purpose of this post is to delineate in lucid, contemporary prose the characteristics of an authentic man or woman—as Freedom Focused defines them.  Following this explication, I will reprint Wordsworth's timeless poem, whereby you can obtain further insight into the kind of self-action leaders that Freedom Focused is developing and then sending out into the world to represent the Golden Mean in a concerted effort to conquer the forces of postmodernism and pre-structuralism.

So... what exactly is an authenticist?

First and foremost, an authenticist is honest, real, and true.  But s/he is more than that.  An authenticist understands the reality of absolute truth which exists independent of and beyond his or her own existence.  Most importantly, s/he comprehends the Existential Duty s/he has to align his/her behavior with Universal Laws for the long-term well being of him or herself as well as ALL other human and animate beings, and the planet itself, which s/he inevitably influences.

Authenticists are fundamentally principle-centered and proactive.  They are goal oriented, hard working, driven visionaries, yet simultaneously easy-going, pleasant-to-be-around, well-balanced realists.

The authentic man or woman comprehends the Existential Equality of all human beings.  As such, s/he will be found treating a server or bus boy with the same kindness and respect s/he would extend to a celebrity or high-ranking officer or dignitary.  S/he is consistent in the treatment of others in all of his or her social interactions.  In the words of Kipling, authenticists can "walk with crowds and keep their virtue" and "walk with kings—nor lose the common touch."

Authenticists avoid gossip and social cliques like the plague.  Any life advantage that takes unfair advantage of anyone else is a disadvantage to an authenticist.

Authenticists embrace an Abundance Mentality (Covey).  In their eyes, the successes and victories of others do not diminish oneself.  To the contrary, they add to one's own existential portfolio—especially if s/he played a role in another's success.  A mature authenticist is never jealous of another—and always grateful for one's own countless and ceaseless blessings.

Like a sharpened rapier,
an authenticist cuts to the
quick of problems & deception
The authentic man or woman learns from the past, plans and prepares for the future, but lives only in the present.  S/he does not let past grievances unduly penetrate the pathways of the present, nor does s/he allow them to foil the fast flowing freeways of the future.

S/he is quite human, and therefore experiences all of the natural, negative emotions native to mankind; nevertheless, s/he disallows those emotions to rule his or her spirit.  S/he is truly sovereign over her responses to everything that occurs beyond his or her immediate control.

Authenticists are optimistic realists.  They are both profoundly pragmatic and vigorously visionary.  They persistently shoot for the moon while consistently recognizing they may or may not ever actually get there in this life.  Cognizant of the multitude of variables outside of one's own control, an authenticist's primary purpose is not to reach the moon at any cost, but to die knowing that s/he did everything s/he could to reach the moon and beyond despite whatever circumstances s/he happened to be placed in this world.  While an authenticist doesn't always die having accomplished all of one's goals, s/he always dies without regrets—having left "everything s/he had on the track."

Authenticists find existential crabs to be pesky, annoying, craven creatures.  They seek to escape their clutches and weaken their grasp as quickly and completely as possible.  They understand that Existential Growth is worth more than any material good, tangible service, or amount of money.  Like Socrates, they desire light, knowledge, growth, and wisdom as ardently as they crave air, water, food, and sex.

Authenticists know what the and their target is.
Just as importantly, they possess the skill
to get the arrow to the bullseye.
The authentic man or woman is a thinker, a planner, a doer, and a builder.  S/he is continually a part of the solution to problems in his or her personal life or beyond.

A fundamentally conscience-driven being, s/he is more concerned with knowing and doing what is right than s/he is in being right or in winning an argument.  Regardless how s/he may feel toward other human beings, s/he is continuously interested in the welfare of ALL human beings.  As such, s/he treats ALL others with justice and equity, taking into account the other person's potential for Existential Growth.

Authenticists are quick to recognize and acknowledge shortcomings, sins, and weaknesses in themselves, but are slow to point them out in others.  They are by no means blind to the shortfalls of their fellows, but consciously choose to spend most of their time and energy dedicated to the art of appreciative inquiry.  As such, they are "hearty in their approbation and lavish in their praise" [2] of others whenever and wherever such commendation is merited.

Authenticists seek to build others up.  Knowing full well that "no man is an island", a victory for someone else is seen by an authenticist as a victory for self—something to be celebrated with as much enthusiasm as any self victory.  Authenticists recognize that in the end, their own worth is a reflection of the worth of those they helped, taught, lifted, encouraged, and served.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
1807-1882
Comprehending the words of Longfellow, an authentic woman or man understands the value of every function in human life, and thereby avoids jealousy of another's position, station, achievements, or wealth.

Nothing useless is, or low;
Each thing in its place is best;
And what seems but idle show
Strengthens and supports the rest. [3]

An authenticist lives an active and vigorous LIFE inspired by Longfellow's Psalm on the Subject [4].

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
   Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
   And things are not what they seem.
 Life is real!  Life is earnest!
   And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
   Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
   Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
   Find us farther than to-day. ...
In the world's broad field of battle,
   In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
   Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no future, howe'er pleasant!
   Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,—act in the living Present!
   Hear within, and God o'erhead!
Lives of great men all remind us
   We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
   Footprints on the sands of time;—
Footprints, that perhaps another,
   Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
   Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
   With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
   Learn to labour and to wait. [4a]

William Shakespeare
1564-1616
Author of Hamlet
In addition to Longfellow's Psalm of Life, authenticists view as scripture the words of Polonius to his son, Laertes, disregarding the irony in Polonius' character to take his insightful counsel at face value:
See thou character.—Give thy thoughts no tongue,
Nor any unproportion'd thought his act.
Be thou familiar, but by no means vulgar.
The friends thou hast, and their adoption tried,
Grapple them to thy soul with hoops of steel;
But do not dull thy palm with entertainment
of each new-hatched, unfledged comrade. Beware
Of entrance to a quarrel; but being in,
Bear't that the opposed may beware of thee.
Give every man thy ear, but few thy voice:
Take each man's censure, but reserve thy judgment.
Costly thy habit as they purse can buy,
But not expressed in fancy; rich, not gaudy:
For the apparel oft proclaims the man.
Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man. [5]

Alice Cary
1820-1871
Authentic men and women are noble in the truest sense of the word.  They recognizing the great truths and aspire towards the noble ideals captured so eloquently Alice Cary's poetic pen:

True worth is in being, not seeming,—
   In doing, each day that goes by,
Some little good—not in dreaming
   Of great things to do by and by.
For whatever men say in their blindness,
   And spite of the fancies of youth,
There's nothing so kingly as kindness,
   And nothing so royal as truth. ...
We cannot make bargains for blisses,
   Nor catch them like fishes in nets;
And sometimes the thing our life misses,
   Helps more than the thing which it gets.
For good lieth not in pursuing,
   Nor gaining of great nor of small,
But just in the doing, and doing
   As we would be done by, is all.
Through envy, through malice, through hating,
   Against the world, early and late,
No jot of our courage abating—
   Our part is to work and to wait.
And slight is the sting of his trouble
   Whose winnings are less than his worth;
For he who is honest is noble,
   Whatever his fortunes or birth. [6]

An authenticist knows who she is.  She is eager to make the
most of her life and serve others in the process.
Authentic men and women are willing to sacrifice what they want now on the altar of what they want most in the long run.  They recognize that sacrifice itself is merely a temporary acquiescence of the mind, body, and soul to principle in exchange for "a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" [7] in the future.

Authenticists have always existed—even though they are generally in the minority in a given populace.  In today's world so dominated by pre-structuralist and postmodern ideologies and acolytes, they are increasingly an endangered species.  When you meet one, it really makes an impression because s/he is such an anomaly among his or her fellow citizens.

While postmodern and pre-structuralist forces dominate our present world, we at Freedom Focused do not believe this will always be the case.  Indeed, we hold out hope for, and remain confident that, in a generation or two, the world may boast a population of authenticists that will cause historians to peer back at our present age as being one of the most pathetic and troubled in American and World history.  As such, citizens of all races, religions, cultures, et cetera born hereafter will give thanks that they inhabited the planet after the bitter years of rancor, debauchery, deception, and defeat that presaged international calamities and predated forthcoming years of peace and prosperity made possible by the rise of authenticists in the Occident and beyond.

In next week's post, I will paint a literary picture of the cultural, racial, political, commercial, and religious landscape that can potentially rise in the midst of a nation and world committed to authentic principles and practices.  Spoiler alert: the picture is a salient contrast to the images we presently see all around us; it provides what the Spanish call an Hermosa Vista (beautiful view).

Wordsworth Lake District Home in Cumbria, England.
In the meantime—as promised—I present to you the poetic portion of this post's authentic literary duet, compliments of that august English bard, William Wordsworth.

Character of the Happy Warrior

By: William Wordsworth

Who is the happy Warrior? Who is he
That every man in arms should wish to be?
—It is the generous Spirit, who, when brought
Among the tasks of real life, hath wrought
Upon the plan that pleased his boyish thought:
Whose high endeavours are an inward light
That makes the path before him always bright:
Who, with a natural instinct to discern
What knowledge can perform, is diligent to
          learn;
Abides by this resolve, and stops not there,
But makes his moral being his prime care;
Who, doomed to go in company with Pain,
And Fear, and Bloodshed, miserable train!
Turns his necessity to glorious gain;
In face of these doth exercise a power
Which is our human nature's highest dower;
Controls them and subdues, transmutes, be-
          reaves
Of their bad influence, and their good receives:
By objects, which might force the soul to abate
Her feeling, rendered more compassionate;
Is placable—because occasions rise
So often that demand such sacrifice;
More skilful in self-knowledge, even more pure,
As tempted more; more able to endure,
As more exposed to suffering and distress;
Thence, also, more alive to tenderness.
—'Tis he whose law is reason; who depends
Upon that law as on the best of friends;
Whence, in a state where men are tempted still
To evil for a guard against worse ill,
And what in quality or act is best
Doth seldom on a right foundation rest,
He labours good on good to fix, and owes
To virtue every triumph that he knows:
—Who, if he rise to station of command,
Rises by open means; and there will stand
On honorable terms, or else retire,
And in himself possess his own desire;
Who comprehends his trust, and to the same
Keeps faithful with a singleness of aim;
And therefore does not stoop, nor lie in wait
For wealth, or honours, or for worldly state;
Whom they must follow; on whose head must
            fall,
Like showers of manna, if they come at all:
Whose powers shed round him in the common
            strife,
Or mild concerns of ordinary life,
A constant influence, a peculiar grace;
But who, if he be called upon to face
Some awful moment to which Heaven has
            joined
Great issues, good or bad for human kind,
Is happy as a Lover; and attired
With sudden brightness, like a Man inspired;
And, through the heat of conflict, keeps the law
In calmness made, and sees what he foresaw;
Or if an unexpected call succeed,
Come when it will, is equal to the need:
—He who, though thus endued as with a
          sense
And faculty for storm and turbulence,
Is yet a Soul whose master-bias leans
To homefelt pleasures and to gentle scenes;
Sweet images! which, whereso'er he be,
Are at his heart; and such fidelity
It is his darling passion to approve;
More brave for this, that he hath much to
          love:—
'Tis, finally, the Man, who, lifted high,
Conspicuous object in a Nation's eye
Or left unthought-of in obscurity,—
Who, with a toward or untoward lot,
Prosperous or adverse, to his wish or not—
Plays, in the many games of life, that one
Where what he most doth value must be
           won:
Whom neither shape of danger can dismay,
Nor thought of tender happiness betray;
Who, not content that former worth stand
          fast,
Looks forward, persevering to the last,
From well to better, daily self-surpast:
Who, whether praise of him must walk the
          earth
For ever, and to noble deeds give birth,
Or he must fall, to sleep without his fame,
And leave a dead unprofitable name—
Finds comfort in himself and in his cause;
And, while the mortal mist is gathering, draws
His breath in confidence of Heaven's applause:
This is the happy Warrior; this is He
That every Man in arms should wish to be. [1]

SELF-ACTION LEADERSHIP is the key catalyst for initiating transformational leadership that lasts in any organization. The truth of the matter really is that simple; and the transformation of organizations through the holistic development of individuals really is that difficult—yet altogether possible for anyone willing to invest the time, effort, and sacrifice required to achieve authentic, transformational results.

Unlike any training program that has ever preceded it, Self-Action Leadership provides a single vehicle wherewith individual self-leaders can discover—and then act—upon the great truth that HOLISTIC personal development and growth spanning the mental, moral, spiritual, physical, emotional, and social elements of our individual natures is within the grasp of each one of us.

Can USA Funding Israel Go On?

Nadene Goldfoot

Is Israel in danger of not receiving funds from the USA these days with a new President?

This is what Israel's Ambassador to the USA, Ron Dermer,  said:

"What do you say to those who argue that Israel is a rich enough country to forgo U.S. assistance?

Military aid is primarily spent in America to purchase U.S. military platforms and weapons, such as fighter planes and ammunition. In Israel's case, about three quarters of military assistance is spent in the U.S. to buy U.S. military systems. . .

As to your question as to why Israel still needs military assistance, it is true that Israel has a relatively high GDP per capita -- about $37,000. The problem is that Israel doesn't have enough "capita." That is, we have a very small population -- 8.5 million people -- and a total GDP of approximately $300 billion. . .

The prime minister recently pointed out that in the last 10 to 15 years, the U.S. has spent over $1.5 trillion in Iraq and Afghanistan. That's the equivalent of about 500 years of U.S. assistance to Israel. And Israel has never asked American soldiers to risk their lives to defend us -- only to provide us with the tools we need to better defend ourselves.

USA and Israel cooperation: a EUCOM picture
That is probably why former Secretary of State Alexander Haig once called Israel the largest American aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one American soldier, and is located in a critical region for American national security, and why Vice President Biden recently said that if there were not an Israel, America would have to invent it.

If there is a country in the world from which American is getting the most bang for its buck, it is Israel -- a strong, reliable democratic ally in the most dangerous region on earth. "

Trandsjordan Is Palestine

Nadene Goldfoot
Palestine-1917-1922:  All inhabitants were Palestinians; Jews and Arabs alike.
It was a name given to the land of Israel and Judah (Judah being the southern end of Israel)
by the Romans who were naming the land they took in 70 CE for the Jewish enemy-the Philistines.
They liked to run the noses of their conquered people in it.  It was their way of getting even with
Aluf Bar Kokhba for being the hardest general they had had to fight against.

British held Mandate over Palestine; April 24, 1920 map.
Documented to be the Jewish National Home-in Mandate.
Britain was to help the Jews reach this goal.
Now King Abdullah has had enough Arab Palestinians in Jordan.

The Arabs wanting a state called Palestine actually got it when King Abdullah took 80% of the land away from the Jewish Homeland.  All of what was called Palestine-was named by the Romans after 135 CE after a 3 year war with Aluf Bar Kokhba, a Jewish general who had retaken Jerusalem and held it for 3 years until he was killed in battle with the Romans.

The League of Nations, created at the end of WWI in 1917, became defunct with outbreak of WWII in 1939,  stood by when this severing of land was done by the British in 1922.  The allocated land  became Transjordan.  Jewish settlement there was then barred.  That's why the Jews didn't get to settle there in their ancient homeland which was Judea and Samaria.  It was the Jordanians who called it all-The West Bank.  Yes, the western bank of the Jordan River.  The part they kept was called Jordan. Jordan annexed this West Bank in 1950.

When the United Nations  was created on October 24, 1945,  they replaced The League of Nations. They partitioned the 20% of remaining Palestine to be the Jewish National Home into 2 states.  This is the map of 1922.

Arabs then controlled about 80% of the land of the British Mandate that was meant to become the Jewish National Home.  The Palestinian Jewish State held  about 17.5%.  Gaza, occupied by Egypt, was the remainder.
Now Israel's wee land can be hit by missiles, mortars and rockets,
and must guard diligently for safety.  Gaza finds it very easy to hit
southern Israel.  Notice that Israel got the Desert of the Negev.  What
Jordan created made the situation that much harder for Israel in their
creation of their own state.
 Why is it that the Arabs living in Judea, Samaria, Gaza and East Jerusalem need their own state?  There are 48 Muslim majority states in the world.  Most of their Arab connections probably are already in Jordan and are Jordanian subjects.  They had their day with Black September when they tried to take over Jordan and lost.  Why not let Abdullah do the leading?

Palestinian Arabs never were a people like the Hashemite Kingdom once was.  That's who Abdulah's people are; Hashemites.  Palestinian Arabs were from all over the Middle East.  They were people looking for better wages, looking for jobs.  They had heard that Jews were hiring.  They came.  They found a few large landowners that were Arabs already living there.  Some of them sold out and moved to Paris and other exciting places.  These Arabs were never land holders.  They never had a country of their own.  They mostly were nomads.  Now too many of them have become terrorists.  Their tribe is their gang of terrorists.

We have Jewish communities in Judea and  Samaria-our old homeland.  We have taken Jews out of Gaza where the Palestinians who were affiliated with Arafat and his PLO have turned more savage and now follow Hamas, the outgrowth of the PLO only much worse.

My high rise apartment in Safed.  We were lucky to live on the fround floor.
We had to have bars on all our windows.  Can you imagine having bars on your living room windows?
 Isn't this what can happen if Judea and Samaria have to exile all the Jews from there as the Arabs follow the Nazi rule of having no Jews in their midst?  That's what they plan for their state: to be Judenrein.  The UN knows this.  The horror is that being that close-they can also rain down rockets, mortars and missiles easily from there.  Even the Jews removed from  Gaza have a hard time finding a home to live in in Israel, as it's getting very crowded.  People live in high rise apartments.  The creation of a Palestine will mean the same thing to Jews of Judea and Samaria.

ISIS Out of Mesopotamia In IRAQ And The World Bleeds

Nadene Goldfoot
Hanging Gardens of Babylon (Land of Shinar or Kasdim (Chaldees) - One of 7 Wonders of the World

Iraq was the major part of Mesopotamia.  Who has not heard of Babylon?  "Mesopotamia is a name for the area of the Tigris–Euphrates river system, roughly corresponding to modern-day Iraq, Syria and Kuwait, including regions along the Turkish-Syrian and Iran–Iraq borders.  The tigris-Euphrates Rives is where the Jews were said to have come from that entered Ur, a city in Western Mesopotamia that became Iraq.
                                                                         Map of Mesopotamia
Today Iraq is becoming  the major part of the bloodthirsty  Islamic State, so called ISIS or IS or in Arabic-Daesh.  It had been part of the 400 year old Turk's Ottoman Empire that died with World War I in 1917.

ISIS: Arab and Foreigners  killing Arabs of the Land
Right now a terrific battle is going on as IS slaughters and beheads anyone in their way.  The world leaders have stepped into this with the American Army having a base here that is an operational hub for the US led 66 nation coalition that is "combating" the Islamic State takeover in Iraq and Syria.  They have entered  with their medivac Blackhawk heliicopters along with Army Apache attack helicopters.  They also have as their base their intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft.  A variety of armed special operations aircraft from different military branches are here.

Assyria attacked Israel in 721 BCE and took away  10 Tribes
Babylonia attacked in 597 BCE, then 586 BCE and took away Israelites
There was Israel and Syria, but none of the other states then.
Why can't a coalition of 66 countries take back one city from ISIS, which is Mosul which lies in northern Iraq?  And what happened to Israel which is erased from this map?  It is hugging the Mediterranean Sea on the West of Jordan.  Mosul has been  occupied by ISIS since June 10, 2014.  It is a city normally holding about 2 1/2 million people. This city, about 250 miles north of Baghdad, " is completely ruled by the Islamic State terror group headquartered in Al-RaqqahSyria. The current government of Iraq stopped paying salaries soon after the city was overrun by militants  (that ISIL allegedly exploited by stealing a generous percentage)  which it had previously paid to city workers, including nurses and doctors.

The USA and their coalition personnel coordinate airstrikes against IS to support their Kurdish peshmerga forces.  "Iraq's genocidal war against the Kurds began in the early 1960s and has continue to the present.  The Iraqis have used bombs, napalm and even poison gas against Iraqi Kurdish positions and towns in the struggle to suppress Kurdish nationalism." They've behaved like Saddam Hussein of Syria  towards his own people who went against him, an  Alawite, a slightly different shade of Islam. In 1975, Iraq conducted a relocation of the Kurdish population.  Hundreds of thousands of Kurds have been forcibly removed from their rural villages, and Kurdish political and cultural institutions have been savagely suppressed.   Kurdish DNA is the closest to the Jewish people. "Where northern Iraq and Turkey are today, they shared a common ancestor.  This was the northern half of the Fertile Crescent during pre-historic times.  Professor Ariella Oppenheim and Dr. Marina Feirman, who carried out the research at the Hebrew University, said they were surprised to find a closer genetic connection between the Jews and the populations of the fertile crescent than between the Jews and their Arab neighbors.  Most likely, Kurds were descended from Israelites.  Kurdistan was actually the core of the old Assyrian Empire, the one that carried off the Ten Lost Tribes.

Kurdish Israeli, Shemun Levi
A note on the Kurds, who are doing most of the face to face fighting in Iraq, is that they originally had their own Kurdistan.  The land is now divided up in Turkey, Iran and Iraq.  The 1st Jewish settlement outside of Israel was in Kurdistan in the days of Ezra of the 5th century BCE.  Kurdish Jews spoke with an Aramaic dialect up to modern times.  It's close to the language used during the makings of the Babylonian Talmud.  Nestorian Christians use this language, also.  12,00 to 18,000 Jews lived in this land by the end of the 19th century.  After 1948, these Jews immigrated to Israel in or near Jerusalem.  Kurds trace their ancestry back 4,000 years and became Muslims but maintain their own language, traditions and tribal leaders.  They have over 15 million with about 3 million in Turkey, and more than 2.5 million in Iran and in Iraq and 500,000 in Syria.   180,000 Kurds have been slaughtered in an Iraqi government campaign against them in the late 1980s.  The Iraqi Defense Minister, Ali Hassan Majid was recorded describing how the Kurds would be dealt with:  "We have gassed them not once;  not twice, but until we get rid of them."

  By the end of April, the USA had conducted 9,073 airstrikes against IS in Iraq and Syria.  Almost all their military aircraft were launched from bases and Navy vessels outside of Iraq and Syria.  50,000 US military personnel are deployed throughout the Middle East, including Navy personnel at sea.  Yet IS seems to still hold onto Mosul.  If they can rid the city and state of ISIS, al Jazeera points out that then the real challenge is "finding a political settlement that allows the local Sunni inhabitants to address their legitimate political grievances with the central government in Baghdad." Religion is the problem between Sunni and Shi'a run government.  Evidently it's no easy task to rid the city of ISIS from afar.  "Mosul is Iraq's second-largest city, and urban warfare is no easy task as the recent operation to liberate Ramadi has shown.  Ramadi has a population of around 200,000 compared with Mosul's estimated population of 1.8 million (albeit many of them left the city for safer refuge).  Ramadi is still being cleared of booby traps and insurgents even though it was "liberated" months ago."
Terah, from the Tigris and Euphrates River Country in the East,
Father of Abraham

This land is part of the Crossroads of Civilization.  It was in the city of Ur that Abraham's father, Terah, came from the East and set up a shop making idols.  This is why Abraham left, to escape the environment of people believing in such things..
The Muslim Arabs conquered Babylonia in 637, five years after Mohammad had died.  The Jewish community who lived there helped the Arab conquerors in the hope that they would be better than the Sassanid (Persian Empire)  persecutions against them.  After the Arabs occupied the land, Jews had been expelled from Saudi Arabia because they wouldn't convert to Islam, so they moved  to Kufa (Kufa is a city in Iraq, about 170 kilometres south of Baghdad, and 10 kilometres northeast of Najaf. It is located on the banks of the Euphrates River) and settled there,"  a place they may have originated from originally.   Babylon and what was to become Iraq was the center of Jewish life.  Jews from all over the world went here to settle questions they had about Judasim.

King Feisal of Iraq-1921-1933.
Ibn and Emir Hussein Feisal (May 20, 1883 or 85--September 8, 1933)was the  prince who had led the Arab uprising against Turkey from 1916 to 1918 and wanted to be compensated and rewarded for their part in the war effort.  He  became king of Iraq from August 23, 1921, apppointed by the Allies who won the 1st World War.  The Brits were holding a 30 year mandate over Palestine and the French had other parts of the Middle Eastern defunct Ottoman Empire they were cutting up.  Feisal was the eldest son of Hussein, sherif of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  He was a prince who wanted to be a king so needed a country.  He was a leader and an educated man, a rarity in these parts, and was sympathetic to Zionism and the creation of a Jewish National Home.  He admired the Jews to the point of hoping his own Arab people could learn something from them and hoped the Jews would help him build his future kingdom.

Weizmann and Feisal
 He met Dr. Chaim Weizmann in 1918 in Transjordan and again in Paris in 1919 where they agreed on mutual aid that was conditional on the implementation of British promises. to the Arabs. Feisal was first made King of Syria.  That didn't work out, so they made him King of Iraq.

Feisal was later expelled from Syria by the French in 1920 and the influence of the Palestinian Arab leaders changed his attitude so that his ideas about Zionism turned hostile in the end.

Husseini and Hitler, quite a pair
Iraq gained independence in 1932 so turned around and persecuted the Jews.  Hundreds of Baghdad Jews were killed and wounded in a pogrom during the revolt of Rashid Ali in 1941, a time reflecting Haj Amin al-Husseini's visit to German Nazis to get help in ridding the world of Jews.

Today, Israel supports the Kurds in their struggle for independence and life.  How do the Iraqis feel?  "
