Peace With Abbas' anti-Semitic Accusation Against Israel ?

The 3rd president of the USA is again trying to bring peace between the Palestinians and Israelis and will fail again.  First it was Bill Clinton who tried to force a peace in his last days in office.  Then it was Bush who tried and failed, and now it's Obama in his last days who along with his co-worker, John Kerry, thinks they are capable of making a deal that will satisfy both parties but will fail.

The problem is this:  The Palestinians belong to a terroristic group of Arabs who swore never to make a deal 68 years ago.  They were first led by Arafat who rejected every offer.  Now it's Abbas, his replacement, who does the same.  They must really not be interested in peace, for their main goal seems to be trying to wipe Israel off the map, and indeed, their maps show no Israel at all, and their schools teach this, also.
                                                                   

 
Even Israeli President Reuven Rivlin has pronounced any peace deal today as currently impossible with a situation of Israel wanting peace and have gone the mile needed for peace, but with the Palestinians now lying about Israel so pronouncedly, that it is a joke.  They are trying to show why they cannot go for peace by accusing Israel's rabbis of calling for the poisoning of Palestinian water supplies, the old accusation going back to the Middle Ages of Jews poisoning the wells.  This is so wild that it makes me choke.  How can one discuss a peace deal with people who think like this?   His people may be ignorant of Jewish history, but I certainly hope that leaders of countries realize where this comes from and the history of anti-Semitism.  Abbas is again trying to bring hatred against Jews, hatred that causes political views to be hated as well against Israel.  He figures that since the world has hated Jews in the past, they will ignore whatever is true about the Palestinians and only remember charges against the Jews, like they have poisoned water of Palestinians.  With their own people, it seems to have worked, since they are being brain-washed against Jews since they enter school, and even before with their parents.

Anti-Semitism was the outgrowth of Christian teaching of hatred for Jews to cause them to convert.  People were taught to hate Jews.  This medieval anti-Jewish prejudice was religious in nature and could generally be obviated by conversion to Christianity.  On the other hand, anti-Semitism has some affinities with the anti-Jewish prejudice in ancient Alexandria and later, against the Marranos in Spain.  Abbas is doing the very same thing, only this goal is to end Israel completely, and one can't make peace with a nation one wants dissolved and destroyed.

We have been accused of all sorts of terrible things, including using human blood in the making of our special bread, matzos.  "When the Black Death raged through Europe (1346–53), the charge was given that the Jews had poisoned the wells.  The only court of appeal that regarded itself as their appointed protector, according to historical conceptions, was the "Holy Roman Emperor."   The emperor, as legal successor to Titus (79-81) , who had acquired the Jews for his special property through the destruction of the Temple in the year 70, claimed the rights of possession and protection over all the Jews in the former Roman empire.  The king at the time of the Black Death was Charles IV, the king of Bohemia, called the German king, born May 14, 1316  in Prague, Czechoslovakia.

Similar to accusations made during the Black Plague, Jews were accused of encouraging lepers to poison Christian wells in France. An estimated five thousand Jews were killed before the king, Philip the Tall, admitted the Jews were innocent. Then, Charles IV expelled all French Jews without the one-year period he had promised them, as much of Europe blamed the Black Plague on the Jews and tortured them so they would confess that they poisoned the wells. Despite the pleas of innocence of Pope Clement VI, the accusations resulted in the destruction of over 60 large and 150 small Jewish communities.

Netanyahu has condemned Abbas' incitement saying, "Abbas showed his true colors in Brussels.  Someone who refuses to meet with Israel's President Reuven Rivlin and with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for direct negotiations, and someone who promotes blood libels in the European parliament is lying when he claims his hand is outstretched in peace.

Oh, I know that prejustice develops against countries from the family.  My own Swedish grandmother used to say, 'Oh, those Norwegians!."  That was it.  Her tone of voice showed displeasure towards this rivaling Scandinavian country.  But they were not being used as scapegoats of the world, as Jews have been, someone to pile all the ails of the world upon.  My hope is that everyone is smarter today and realizes that this present accusation of Abbas is showing his true colors and what Israel is up against.  Israel does not have a "normal" situation to deal with in coming to peace terms with another people, because if Abbas has is way, there won't be an Israel.  After 68 years of defending themselves and having been given the OK to be created in the first place by the world politicians, this is not going to happen.

Israel Keeps Morals in Fighting; Trump Needs to Learn Why

Donald Trump has been talking tonight about how he would use waterboarding on ISIS terrorists to gain information need to save our American population.  He would expand the use, do something a little worse,  was his inference.
                                                                         

This is a pretty shocking attitude to many of us.  He had great reasoning as to why.  ISIS was cutting off heads.  They did worse than waterboarding.  The problem is, seeing such vulgar acts causes most people  to want to retaliate in kind.

I was reminded of something I had just read by Gil Troy, a professor of history at McGill University in Montreal in his article in Hadassah Magazine this month, "Courage Under Fire".

Lately,  the PA leadership, Yasser Arafat's replacement of Abbas and his former terrorist cohorts, thought up a real doozy of a way to attack Israel without being caught so as to be labeled terrorists again.  They told lies to their Palestinian people that Israel was going to change the status of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.  In fact, they said, they want to tear down their mosque and build their Third Temple there.  At the least, they will take over the Temple Mount shortly !

Now, the truth of the matter is that Israel, through Moshe Dayan, voluntarily let the Jordanian  Islamic Waqf have religious control there since 1967, after Israel won the 1967 War.

The PA has been "whipping up impressionable Palestinians to kill Israelis in a less violent way like the usual suicide bombings.  This time they walked by Jews and stabbed them with knives.  If that was killing too few Jews,  they got in their cars and rammed them into crowds of people, mostly in Jerusalem, which they want to take over anyway.

What has been Israel's reaction?  We use the Torah for guidance, and from it we learn we may fight when necessary, as everyone should know by now, being Israel has had to fight from the very beginning of its birth in 1948.  That was the War of Independence 1947-1949.  Then they had to fight in 1956 in The Sinai War from October 29 until November 5, 1956.   In 1967 Israel had to fight the Six-Day War from the 5th to 11th of June 1967. .  That was followed in 1973 in the Yom Kippur War.  That's been followed by Two Intefadas and many other battles.

Judaism is the religion of this tiny country, just like Islam is the religion of Pakistan and Christianity is the religion of the USA.    "Judaism is not Christianity preaching "love thy enemy," but still our sages advised us not to gloat, not to turn brutal---for our sake and our adversaries."  

Mr. Troy told the story of a recent attack in Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda market.  Two children, age 14 and 16 answered the call of the PA and stabbed an old Jewish man in his head with their scissors!  A shopkeeper came out of his shop and knocked down one of them, a girl, with a chair that was sitting outside the market.  An Israeli radio pundit interviewed him afterwards and asked him how he felt about being a hero and saving the man's life by stopping these two.

He answered that he felt terrible!  He couldn't feel happy about doing it because it was a kid that he had to stop.  His humanity is the opposite of how the Palestinian culture teaches.  They are taught to take part in this insane incitement.  They have a song to help instigate their teens.  "I'tan, I'tan (Stab, Stab).  They celebrate the killing of any Jew, no matter what their age.  They stoop low enough by teaching their children, like these young teens, to turn into murderers.  It's also what ISIS has been doing on an even grander scale.

Terrorists see Israelis as weak because they love their children and do not like to kill.  They just don't get it.  It's the Israeli's strength!  They will not lose their morality and standards just because they have to fight!

 Israelis fight because they have been put into the position of fight or die, so they "fight to keep their moral compass."  Israel is fighting the Palestinians that are Hamas terrorists because they have taken on the role as Israel's enemy, in constantly trying to kill Israelis.  As long as they prefer to be Israel's enemy, Israel will fight them intensely.  Israel intends to stay strong and take pride in keeping their moral standards and not sinking as low as their enemy in their behavior.  They have standards of behavior, perhaps much stronger than the USA's standards.  With it all, they have great hopes and determination to eventually achieve peace with the enemy.

The First Geneva Convention goes back to 1864 to protect sick and wounded soldiers.
It covers such things as treatment of prisoners of war; military necessity, along with distinction and proportionality; and the prohibition of certain weapons that may cause unnecessary suffering.  It's about  the limits to acceptable wartime conduct

                                                                         
Trump has not been in the army or any other service in the USA.  He hasn't been in moralist discussions about how and why it is important to keep standards in fighting.  There are international accepted laws pertaining to how to conduct oneself in a war if a soldier.  He thinks, at this time in history, that it's okay to waterboard just because ISIS has gone back to the dark ages with their cutting off heads and other disgusting way of winning a war. He's going to obey the laws now, but change them to allow waterboarding excesses.    So he's going to lower the boom because the enemy has done so.
                                                                 

Thank G-d Israel has not done that.  Golda Meier, Israel's past Prime Minister, has said many things about having to fight against the enemy. " A leader who doesn't hesitate before 

he sends his nation into battle is not fit to be a leader."

"We do not rejoice in victories. We rejoice when a 

new kind of cotton is grown and when strawberries 

bloom in Israel."   "It is true we have won all our 

wars, but we have paid for them. We don't want 

victories anymore."    "We Jews have a secret 

weapon in our struggle with the Arabs; we have no

East Jerusalem and the Arab's Complaints

"In July 1980, the Knesset passed the Jerusalem Law as part of the country's Basic Law. The law declared Jerusalem the unified capital of Israel."

The question has been raised and an Arab spokesman has stated some different reasons why there has been rioting by the Arabs in Jerusalem in the last few weeks.  He stated that since Israel had closed off Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) in 1994, the city had served as the hub of Palestinians life.  It served their religious role as well.  All of the major Palestinian economic, social, cultural, educational, medical and service institutions were located in Jerusalem.  He said that for decades, Israel had been strangling East Jerusalem denying its Palestinian inhabitants freedom, opportunity, dignity and hope with devastating impact.

First, Israel's army had to close off Gaza and Judea-Samaria on February 27, 1994 from the rest of Israel because of a massacre of Muslim worshipers in Hebron that left scores dead.  The closure of Judea-Samaria began Sunday at 3:am for an indefinite period.  Entry of Arab residents to work in Israel was not to be permitted.  The closure on Gaza was imposed after the mosque massacre on Friday and would remain in force.

The day before this army announcement, 3 more Arabs died in disturbances. The IDF actions during and after the shooting were being questioned.  It looks like the closure was to protect Muslims.

This mosque was at the Tomb of the Patriarchs, where both Jews and Arabs visit since it is where Abraham, Sarah, Isaac are buried. The shooting was done by one man, "American-Israeli Baruch Goldstein."  

It happened "during the overlapping religious holidays of both Jewish Purim and Muslim Ramadan.  The attack left 29 people dead and 125 wounded.  Goldstein was only stopped after he was overpowered and beaten to death by survivors."   This happened 21 years ago.

Certainly people have had time to realize such things can never again happen, but no, Arabs have overstepped their bounds by recently going into a synagogue on November 18, 2014, a Tuesday in Jerusalem (not east but in the Har Nof area of West Jerusalem), and shot and killed those worshiping there including my distant shirttail relative and genealogy pal, Rabbi Abraham Goldberg of Jerusalem, 59 years old..  Also killed were 3 other Rabbis.  They were all doing their morning prayers.  2 Arabs did the attack with a gun and butcher knives.

"The terror attack -- the deadliest in Jerusalem since a man with an automatic weapon killed eight seminary students in March 2008 -- came at a particularly tense time in that city and the region at large. It follows a series of recent deadly stabbings and vehicle incidents that, while not the large-scale suicide bombings that defined last decade's second intifada or the rocket attacks from Gaza earlier this year, have left Jerusalem on edge." A police officer was also killed; 8 deaths total.  

Now, the UN has just decided that since the tomb lies in  Samaria, it shall be under Arab control.  This is something the PA asked for and got Arab nations to sponsor.  Up to now, all religions could visit the site, but now, I question what will happen.

Since 1998, "By 2012, almost every neighborhood in East Jerusalem had health clinics that included advanced medical equipment, specialized ER units, X-ray diagnostic centers and dental clinics. Israel's system of healthcare entitles all Israeli citizens and East Jerusalem residents to receive free healthcare service funded by the Israeli government. In some cases, East Jerusalem residents can get free transportation to clinics, free subscriptions to health clubs or free dental care, to ensure they do not switch to a rival health care HMO provider."

Zobay is saying that Jerusalem, and he makes no distinction in his blog that he means East Jerusalem where the Arab population mainly lives, was Palestine's heart, and the flow of people in and out was its lifeblood.  He knows that until 1967 it was under Jordanian control, but by siding with the other Arab nations in the onslaught upon Israel in the 1967 Six Day War, lost the land that was Judea, Samaria, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

Jerusalem, the city mentioned in the bible 614 times,  became unified again under Israel in  1980. It is Israel's capital and never has been the capital of any other government.     .  Does Zobay realize that "Jews were ethnically cleansed from eastern Jerusalem when they were attacked by 5 Arab armies in 1948?  Israel has not done that to the Arabs.    Does he understand the Jewish history and it's connection to Jerusalem in that it had been the capital of Israel for 1,700 years before the Arab conquest after 632?  Does he understand that the name, Jerusalem, is never mentioned in the Koran?  The importance of Jerusalem to  Muslims is the Temple Mount which is in East Jerusalem, which is the Old City, the site of our Jewish 2nd Temple which lays under their mosque and just happens to be our most holy site.

Now, if I were a Muslim and were living in East Jerusalem and wanted to keep the conditions as they stand with Jordan presiding over the Temple Mount because of the good nature of Moshe Dayan at the end of the war of 1967, the Israeli General who allowed this to happen, I would do my darndest to get along with the Israeli society.  

Look at what Hamas as done along with Fatah; 2 Intifadas and now their murdering and stabbings may be starting a 3rd.  Even a few Arab doctors were stabbing Jewish patients.  

Israel has included Arabs to serve in the Knesset.  For every complaint they have, I can prove that they brought on adverse conditions upon themselves because of their acts.  "Without Israeli security control that exists today, Jerusalem would descend into chaos, with rival militias battling each other like in the Gaza Strip. "  Hamas and Fatah fight each other more than they make plans for their people.  They fight for power.  

When an Arab kills a Jew, the PA names a street or park after them.  Children are taught in school that the land belongs to Arabs, not the Jews with maps to reflect this lie.  Nothing they do helps to unify or bring about peace between the 2 peoples.  Their results are the riots they want.  After all, when an Arab man dies, his reward in battle such as this is 72 virgins.  Jews have no such thing in their religion.  Peace is to their advantage.  To save even one life is what they strive for since they feel it saves the world.  No, a Jew is not looking to be a martyr, but to do good deeds that save lives, not takes them.  

Zobgy tells people that Israel confiscated 1/3 of Palestinian-owned land around Jerusalem to build Jewish only  colonies and highways connecting them to Israel.  

The rules of the end of 1967 showed areas A, B, and C.  "Since Judea and Samaria were never officially annexed by the Israeli government, the IDF Civil Administration has jurisdiction over the districts today. "" The communities that Israel built in Gaza and Judea and Samaria were in undeveloped, uninhabited areas and are entirely legal.  Palestinians have legitimate claims to sovereignty over some of the land..  Many are longtime inhabitants who feel they have been deprived of political rights and self-determination.  Israel disputes their territorial claims and Israel also has strong claims to the land."  

"Since 1993, the regions have been divided into areas A, B, and C.  

Area A was assigned to the Palestinian Authority where most of the Arab residents live. According to many estimates, 1.5 million Arabs live in the region.  Accurate statistics have been difficult to obtain with claims that Arab demographics have been artificially inflated.   Area B is under joint control and has large tracts of barren land.  Israel has full control of Area C where most of the over 340,000 Jewish residents live. "

"In 1948 the Latrun section of the highway was taken over by Jordan" until  the end of the 1967 war.  "In 1978 a new section opened, connecting former Road 10 (the Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport road) with Sha'ar HaGai. The new section formed the third freeway in the country, after Highways 2 and 4." 

My summary of all of Zobgy's complaints and blame is that he sees only Palestinian vicimization, and the deeper story that he doesn't know about, being he resides in the USA, is how these young people have been raised to be what they are, ready to stab Jews at the first instigation from Abbas or others, and that's just what has happened.  Since Abbas cannot make peace with Israel without being in trouble with Hamas, because he had unified with them and their goal is the same, and he hasn't coaxed Israel into a blanket acceptance of a Palestinian state without controls, he instigates.  He's 80 years old, but doesn't really care about the lives of his people, only his reputation and standing. From one side of his mouth he instigates attacks while with the other side of his mouth he says, oh, stop, how terrible!  The fact of the matter is that Zobgy and other Palestinians have not been given the real facts, but a made up version that the Palestinians want their people to abide to.  We're not all on the same page.

"The international community should strongly condemn Abbas’ incitement and call on the PA president to cease this encouragement of violence and terrorism. The inflammatory language and actions must cease so that calm can return to Jerusalem and its Temple Mount in particular. - See more at: below under references.  

The international community remains deaf and dumb to whatever Abbas does and says.  

" Abbas added fuel to the flames by proclaiming: “The Muslim and Christian world will never accept Israeli claims that Jerusalem is theirs. Jerusalem is our capital and we will never give this up; Jerusalem that was occupied in 1967 is our Jerusalem. We will safeguard and protect our holy places.”  He doesn't give into the facts of life.  The Arabs still think that the land is all Palestine and under the Ottoman Empire.   His attitude did win over UNESCO, though, who gave him the Cave of the Patriarchs to police.  Evidently it was easier to give into his screaming instead of rationally weighing evidence.

Fatah Kills Parents of 4 and Hamas Calls For Armed Muslims in Judea, Samaria, and Armed Warfare in Jerusalem

On Thursday, October 1st, Benyamin Netanyahu called on Abbas to sit down and talk peace without any preconditions at the UN.  What was the answer?  The events listed below.

The Muslims have been throwing rocks in Jerusalem which is lethal, and last Thursday night, Fatah terrorists gunned down a young couple in front of their 4 children outside Itamar in Samaria.  Eitam and Na'ama were in their car on the road between Itamar and Elon Moreh and the Fatah terrorists drove by and gunned them down.  The children are being treated for shock, aged 9, 7, 4 and there was also their 4 month old baby in the car.  The murdered parents were in their 30's.

 "Hamas spokesman praised the attack by the "brave resistance," calling the murderous act "heroic," and vowing to continue the struggle against Israel. The organization call for its members to carry out more attacks against Israel.

There's never been any reason for a struggle against Israel to create a Palestine other than that isn't their motivation.  They just want to destroy Israel.  They've been offered a state since 1948 when Israel was re-born.  The answer is always no coupled with violence against Jews.   They want more-all of the little land left for Israel to exist.  

The Popular Resistance Committees also "blessed" the attack, saying it was a natural reaction to "Israeli crimes."  It is action like this that turns any normal Israeli off from wanting neighbors like this.  It is action that decent people do not do or praise, no matter what.  This is why Hamas is called a terrorist group, and now Fatah is falling back to its old behaviors and joining them in their disgusting acts of violence.  You know, there's nothing brave about killing two young parents while they are driving on the highway.  It's a miracle the children weren't also killed by the car going on its own after the father was shot, but he had managed to stop it from moving.  The police found it in the middle of the road with the dead parents.  

                                                                     

Mahmoud Zahar, Hamas leader, prodding armed rebellion in Israel of Fatah against Jews

The very Palestinians Obama and others are calling for the right to create a Palestine out of ancient Israel are now calling for warfare including Jerusalem, capital of Israel.  Fatah started it, led by Abbas, with shooting of husband and wife in Samaria.  Now Mahmoud Zahar, former surgeon turned Palestinian politician and co-founder of Hamas terrorism of Gaza, is now calling for armed warfare in Jerusalem. This is the start of the year 5776, with attacks on Israel.  
                                                                               

Starting with our High Holidays, ever since the eve of Rosh Hashanah on September 13th, Yom Kippur and now Succot, all Jewish holidays including today which will end on October 7th, Arab terrorists have been attacking Jews.

This included attacks at the Temple Mount, which, by the way, happens to be the holiest site in Jerusalem for Jews and Muslims, but Jews are not allowed to pray there.  Jews can only visit.  I suppose the Arabs are terrified of our prayers, so that's why we cannot pray there. In 1967 after the war, a deal was made by Moshe Dayan in that Jordan would control the Temple Mount even though it's in the middle of Jerusalem. We have a peace pact with Jordan.  This mosque sits over the area which was where the 1st and 2nd  Temple  had been, and that's why Jews want to pray there but must be satisfied with praying at the Western Wall which goes back to Herod's period.

Their reason for Mahmoud's call to arms is to "defend" Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.  He is calling for even more rioting at the site.  Explosives have been thrown at the police by his cohorts.

They themselves have started the rumor that Israelis are fighting Muslims at the Mosque.  He evidently wants all Muslims to take up arms wherever they are; Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem.  While 4 children watched on Thursday night, their parents were murdered before their very eyes by Fatah terrorists, Abbas's men who want to create a Palestine next door to Israel.   They are also busy throwing Molotov cocktails. Because of the ferment caused, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's cabinet have broadened the rules of conduct.  They recognize that rock throwing Arab terrorists can throw lethal hits so will now be targeted by the police by live fire.  Children and their parents will be under minimum sentences and larger fines for rock-throwing.  It's cause and effect.  Countries don't come out with rules like this until there's reason for it.

Update: 9:20am Sunday: Two Israeli men were fatally stabbed in Jerusalem’s Old City on Saturday evening. The Palestinian attacker was shot dead by security forces after he opened fire on them. The wife of one of the victims and their two-year-old baby were lightly wounded.

How did the BBC initially report on the attack? Just saying that a Palestinian was shot dead and leaving out what had happened.  They had to publish the truth the next day due to outraged readers who had heard the truth from other outlets.
