German-Jewish Problems from 1348-1349: Black Death

Nadene Goldfoot
The Plague, a painting in Madrid Museum

The Black Death was an not just an epidemic, but a pandemic  outbreak of bubonic plague in Europe around 1348 that spread through Asia and Europe  that killed between one-third and two-thirds of the population in less than five years.  It killed 25 million people then over a period of 50 years.  The plague stopped during the winter years.  Spreading across Asia first, people thought it was over by 1348.  The epidemic spanned from China to England to North Africa, transmitted along the Silk Road and other trade routes.  It was an epidemic that killed much of the population of Europe.  It led to murderous attacks on many Jewish communities because they were the first thought to have caused it.  "The Black Death lingered on for centuries, particularly in cities.

Outbreaks included the Great Plague of London (1665-66), in which one in five residents died." Jews had already been expulsed from England in 1290 and weren't allowed back until 1655.

This happened in Germany even more than other countries because the masses of people were so superstitious that this charge, originating in Savoy, was that Jews had caused the disease by poisoning the wells.

The truth was that Jews were less exposed to the plague because of their being shunned by the German Christians and were segregated from them in their own communities.  The Jews followed their dietary and hygienic laws and this protected them but made them more suspicious to the gentiles as they were looked upon as killers of Christ and evil.

Pope Clement VI issued a bull condemning the libel.  He ordered the Jews to be protected.  They population ignored this, and there was hardly any Jewish community that didn't suffer from Alsace eastward from attacks.

Emperor Charles IV even went along with the attacks in return for a share in the booty.   The guilds for the lower nobility and the lower patrician classes were against their Jewish supporters.  Those who owned money to Jews welcomed the opportunity to kill their creditors.

In Germany alone, attacks on Jews took place in about 350 places, while 60 large and 150 small communities were absolutely exterminated!

Many towns from then on banished the Jews for all time, although some soon changed their minds.  This was the greatest disaster that happened to Germany Jewery in the Middle Ages.  Attacks on a smaller scale took place also in Poland, Catalonia and northern Italy.

Suffering from blisters of bubonic plague

"The first well-documented pandemic was the Plague of Justinian, which began in 541 CE. Named after the Byzantine emperor Justinian I, it killed up to 10,000 people a day in Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul, Turkey), according to ancient historians. Modern estimates suggest half of Europe's population was wiped out before the plague disappeared in the 700s."  This means that the Middle Ages pandemic was the 2nd round of the bubonic plague.

What caused it in the first place?  Mainly, it was rats that carried fleas that bit people.  "The animal reservoir for plague includes mice, camels, chipmunks, prairie dogs, rabbits, and squirrels, but the most dangerous for humans are rats, especially the urban sort. The disease is usually transmitted by the rat flea,Xenopsylla cheopis."  This cause wasn't found until 1859.  during a 3rd epidemic in China that started in 1855.  However, "The second way the plague was spread was through the air.   People were infected with it simply by inhaling."

"The most common reason  thought by Christians was that it was the wrath of God. The times were fanatically religious, and one of the ways God got even, so to speak, was by punishing man. This is especially confirmed in Christian mythology with the idea of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, one of whom is pestilence. This Horseman of Pestilence was their interpretation of the plague."  They blamed the corruption of the church, or for not stopping the Muslims during the Crusades.  They finally blamed the Jews just for living there  " because they had allowed the Jews to live in their midst as Jews. This reason became widely accepted. Therefore, in many communities throughout Christian Europe the formula and prescription of saving the community from the plague lay in either converting, exiling or murdering the Jewish population.  No wonder we today are down to only 14 million Jews in the world, about 0.02% of the world population.

How did people suffer?  "Bubonic plague, the disease's most common form, refers to telltale buboes—painfully swollen lymph nodes—that appear around the groin, armpit, or neck.

Septicemic plague, which spreads in the bloodstream, comes either via fleas or from contact with plague-infected body matter.

Pneumonic plague, the most infectious type, is an advanced stage of bubonic plague when the disease starts being passed directly, person to person, through airborne droplets coughed from the lungs. If left untreated, bubonic plague kills about 50 percent of those it infects. The other two forms are almost invariably fatal without antibiotics."

The Italian writer Giovanni Boccaccio lived through the plague as it ravaged the city of Florence in 1348. The experience inspired him to write The Decameron, a story of seven men and three women who escape the disease by fleeing to a villa outside the city. In his introduction to the fictional portion of his book, Boccaccio gives a graphic description of the effects of the epidemic on his city.

"The symptoms were not the same as in the East, where a gush of blood from the nose was the plain sign of inevitable death; but it began both in men and women with certain swellings in the groin or under the armpit. They grew to the size of a small apple or an egg, more or less, and were vulgarly called tumours. In a short space of time these tumours spread from the two parts named all over the body. Soon after this the symptoms changed and black or purple spots appeared on the arms or thighs or any other part of the body, sometimes a few large ones, sometimes many little ones. These spots were a certain sign of death, just as the original tumour had been and still remained."

Most victims of the pandemic were buried in mass graves.  Civilization up to that time with its laws of behavior was abandoned and it was every man for himself.

Anti-Semitic European Statistics in Today's End of Times Days

Nadene Goldfoot
75 years ago, The Sherif of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini met
with Hitler in Germany  to discuss getting rid of Jews.  Nazism has
been captivating anti-Semites of all countries to this day..

In the past 136 years, from when Russian Jews were escaping constant pogroms and taking the initiative to brave the waters and get to Palestine, their original home of Judah, to day, we see we are heading right for the anti-Semitism found in the 1930's for the same old reasons plus one new one.

Europe is not winning any battle against this upheaval of anti-Semitism.  Their situation has changed with an abundance of Muslim refugees entering their lands of Sweden, France, Germany, England, etc.  I'm afraid they've brought no only their children but their attitude towards Jews and Israel.

At the end of 2013, Europe's European Union's Fundamental Right's Agency did a sweeping survey of Jews living in Europe.

1. 66 2/3%  Jews found anti-Semitism affecting them.
2. 75% of Jews said anti-Semitism had worsened since 2008. This was an increase in the past 5 years.
3. 50%of all European Jews fear being victims of anti-Semitic rhetoric.
4. 50% of all European Jews fear being the victim of physical assaults.
5. 25%  of all European Jews avoid Jewish sites because of fear of attacks.
6. 60 % of all European Jews heard or saw someone anti-Semitic claiming the Holocaust was either an exaggeration or was a downright myth.
7. 66 2/3% of all European Jews violently assaulted were too afraid to report the crime to local police.
8. 84% more French anti-Semitic attacks on Jews since the murder of 4 Jews in the kosher supermarket in Paris, reported by Service de Protection de la Communaute Juive (SPC).

                                                             NEWSPAPERS

1. The Guardian newspaper reported that anti-Semitic attacks in UK are at the highest level ever recorded.
2. The Jewish Telegraph Agency reported of anti-Semitic attacks in France climbed 84%E AFTER the Kosher shop killings.
3. The Business Insider reported about Hungary's anti-Semitic Jobbik Party spreading across Eastern Europe.
4. The Atlantic asked in print, "Is it time for the Jews to leave Europe?  The answer would have to be, to where? and that would of course be Israel, for it's very hard for Jews to get into other places.  The Syrians are first in line and not exactly welcome anywhere, either.

Anti-Semitic act in Jewish cemetery in France, 2010.

A Few of the ACTS OF VIOLENCE
1. Malma, Sweden:  has been the site of many acts of violence against it's Jewish population who came there looking for refuge from WWII. Many of  the 3rd generation of Jews have fled to Israel after much anti-Semitic acts.  I've been writing about this situation in several articles.

2.  Paris, France:  A 13 year old Jewish boy just outside of his school was viciously beaten and taunted by a group of nasty thugs calling out, "Take that, dirty Jew."

4 young men killed in Paris Supermarket
3. Paris France:  The kosher supermarket where anti-Semitic killings took place after the terrorist attack at the Charlie Hebdo newspaper.  They killed 4 Jews before the police killed the gunman.

4. Brussels, Belgium, where so much trouble has been brewing lately, the Parliament received a letter accusing Jews of being "thieves, murderers, liars and degenerates."

5. Amsterdam, Netherlands:  where Sephardic Jews left to live in New Amsterdam, America, which became New York: Elderly Holocaust survivors, Diana and Shmuel Blog,  were attacked verbally and beaten by 2 men who said to them, "Dirty Jews, you don't need your jewelry anymore.  You've been wearing it for too long.  Now it's all ours."

6 Copenhagen, Denmark: During a bat mitzvah (girl) celebration at the Jewish Community Center near the Great Synagogue, the security guard, Dan Uzan age 37, was shot and killed by an Islamic jihadist.  Evidently this was not a robbery but about murdering a Jew to cause fear.

7. Manchester, England,  major city in the northwest of England, where writer Victor Sharpe has told of seeing  growing anti-Semitism every time he visited his mother,  4 teen-aged  Jewish lads were attacked by 4 anti-Semites which left the 17 year old in hospital with a brain hemorrhage.  A hate attack.  London's new mayor is Muslim.  "Sadiq Khan is excusing Muslim terrorism as some punishment from G-d Almighty on a non-Muslim population, as if people, (Jews)  deserve it.  You just cannot excuse such terrorism.  He's getting away with it.  Now he's in a seat of power as a Mayor. Is he going to stop anti-Semitism in London? Time will tell.

8.  St. Polten, Austria:  A Jew  outside a mall wearing a Star of David was violently assaulted by thugs who called him a F***ing Jew.  A hate attack.

9.  Zurich, Switzerland; land of people who haven't mixed into wars, has a neo- Nazi rock group.   Amok, one of their members, spat in the face of a Jewish man who was leaving a synagogue.  Amok shouted, "Heil Hitler!"  Is this "freedom of speech"  or is it hate speech.  I'd say hate speech that will undoubedly lead to other actions.

10. Warsaw, Poland:  where thousands of Jews were slaughtered in WWII, Poland passed a ban on kosher meat, and has said it is now illegal to kill or sell such.  So now vandals desecrated the fence outside the Jewish cemetery.  Good thing there was a fence or they would have tipped or and broken the headstones as well, as other places have found.  Why the ban on kosher meat?  It's a way of killing cows that is the most humane with the least amount of pain if any.  Poles marked their anniversary of the decision from their Constitutional Tribunal with this announcement. They're not trying to spread Vegetarianism or even Veganism.  They're just against Jews living in Poland.  The records show that there were more than enough Poles helping the Nazis during WWII in rounding up Jews and other matters.

11. Grassina, Tuscan, Italy, where Jews who could went to escape the Holocaust and perhaps board a ship for Palestine, anti-Semitic vandals spray-painted "Jews to the gas," and painted swastikas on the Jewish Community Center.  Younger Italian Jews in 2015 were planning to most likely leave. The old cannot, and will stay.  This is the situation.  Older people have the hardest time picking up and leaving a country.  They become victims.  Jews in Italy have lived there since Biblical times.

12. Bilbao, Spain in the north,:  A Jewish teenager was attacked by a gang of neo-Nazis who carved swastikas into his arm. The attackers kicked and punched the teen after carving a swastika and the number 88 into his arm with a razor blade."

We may be only 0.02% of the world population, with 6 million living in Israel and about 6 million in the USA, but the rest are spread over European countries and South Africa and different islands and South America.  There are good people in over 100 countries on 6 continents who are not anti-Semites, but Europe is just not doing the job, and most  the remaining 2 million Jews live in Europe since we have about  only 14 million in the world.   This anti-Semitism is reaching a boiling point which makes the present time the most dangerous for Jews living there since WWII.  Complacency leads to disaster, and I don't see many making a move to correct this situation in Europe.

The EU (European Union) has a Parliament President, Martin Schults.  They have a European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker.  They have a European Council President, Donald Tusk.  They must do everything possible to prevent more anti-Semitism in Europe.  What's odd is that the Arabs have not wanted Jews back home in what was being called "Palestine."  However, it's now with their help that European Jews are fleeing to Israel from persecution once more, like they were being treated by the Nazis and by the Russian pogromists.  It's the story of our history.  We do indeed need our one and only state of Israel.

Does NATO Affect Israel In Any Way?

Nadene Goldfoot
NATO has kept the peace in Europe

The first NATO Secretary General, Lord Ismay, said in 1949 that the goal was "to.keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down.  It's creation can be seen as the primary school of thought called Atlanticism which stressed the importance of trans-Atlantic cooperation against an armed attack against any one of them in Europe or North America.  It would be an attack against all.

At present, NATO (North Atlantic Alliance) has 28 members. In 1949, there were 12 founding members of the Alliance: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The other member countries are: Greece and Turkey (1952), Germany (1955), Spain (1982), the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland (1999), Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia (2004), and Albania and Croatia (2009).
  • Dialogue and cooperation with Ukraine started after the end of the Cold War, when newly independent Ukraine joined the North Atlantic Cooperation Council (1991) and the Partnership for Peace programme (1994).

NATO is presently weighing the job of sending  4 battalions in Eastern States to deter Russia.  Donald Trump would like to get rid of NATO because the USA pays most of its expenses and he thinks its rather outdated, now.  Trump's timing of getting rid of NATO is bad because Russia has been displaying "increasingly aggressive behavior that is challenging the international norms.  They are often in violation of international law.

The Baltic state of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania joined NATO in 2004.  They have asked for greater presence of the NATO Alliance because they fear a threat from Russia after it annexed the Crimea peninsula from Ukraine in 2014.  Maybe they saw something brewing back in 2004.

The Connected Forces Initiative (CFI) aims to enhance the high level of interconnectedness and interoperability Allied forces have achieved on operations and with partners. CFI combines a comprehensive education, training, exercise and evaluation programme with the use of cutting-edge technology to ensure that Allied forces remain prepared to engage cooperatively in the future.NATO Naval Drills Began in Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean in 2014.
NATO is weighing the decision to rotate 4 battalions of NATO  troops through the Eastern member states  which means 4,000 troops. They will come from the USA and its allies and will be sent to the Baltic states and to Poland.   It's their latest proposal to guard against the aggressive behavior of Russia.

This information came from the testifying of US Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter on Capitol Hill in Washington on April 28, 2016.  He was there testifying on operations against the ISIS.  Carter is now on a 3 day trip to Germany.

Deputy Commanding General, US Army Europe and Commander, US Army NATO General Richard C Longo, right, shakes hands with Polish general Adam Joks, left, ...
The USA budgeted to boost military training and exercises and announced last month about deploying continuous rotations of US based armored brigade combat teams to Europe.

Army General Curtis Scaparrotti will take over as the next NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe.  He will be succeeding US Air Force General Philip Breedlove.

NATO  is based on the North Atlantic Treaty signed back on April 4, 1949.  The member states have agreed to a mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party.  The headquarters of NATO is in Haren, Brussels, Belgium, where the Supreme Allied Commander lives.  Belgium is one of 28 member states across North America and Europe.  Albania and Croatia are the newest who joined in April 2009.  22 more countries participate in their NATO's Paretnership for Peace program.  15 other countries are involved in institutionalized dialogue programmes.  The combined military spending of all NATO members is over 70% of the global total.  Members' defense spending is supposed to amount to 2% of the GDP (Gross domestic product (GDP) is the monetary value of all the finished goods and services produced within a country's borders in a specific time period).  Since the USA's GDP is probably the highest, they have been carrying the highest amount that goes into their treasury.

Afghan security forces are dying at five times the rate of NATO soldiers as Taliban insurgents step up attacks ahead of the withdrawal of foreign troops in 2014, the latest figures show.

Here's a problem.  Only 5 member states of the 28 meet the defense spending goal.  They are Poland, USA, Great Britain, Greece and Estonia.  Overall, six countries are raising and six are cutting their military spending as a proportion GDP this year when compared with 2014, and the rest are staying the same.   Russia invaded and annexed the Ukrainian region of Crimea in 2014.  The North Atlantic Treaty Organization spending is set to decrease by 1.5%, to roughly $893 billion. Some of these countries, including Latvia and Lithuania, are among those that increased their spending this year.  With USA officials, the military has for a long time found this financing problem a sore spot, so it hasn't been that Trump thought this one up all by himself out of the blue.  He got it from those he spoke to.

U.S. Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James was in Brussels last week to confer with NATO officials, and she urged America’s allies to reverse the trend.

Israel is not a member of NATO.  "Israel might become a NATO member-state if its neighbours also joined.   Alternatively, Israel might become a NATO member-state if NATO somehow became an alliance aimed against the Arab and/or Muslim world. Failing those scenarios, Israeli membership is a non-starter.  There is no alliance group except the USA for Israel.  She stands pretty much alone against a large Arab alliance.  However, she is a member of the Mediterranean Dialogue of 7 States .  I'm glad to see her close neighbors of Egypt and Jordan standing with her.

NEGEV DESERT, Israel — U.S. Army Lt. Gen. H. Steven Blum, National Guard Bureau chief, meets Israeli Soldiers who were training in urban warfare techniques at the Israeli Defense Force’s National Center for Ground Training here Nov. 21, 2005. (U.S. Army photo by Master Sgt. Bob Haskell)
" Among NATO's partners are the Mediterranean Dialogue states, consisting of 7 countries:
Israel, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Mauritania and Morocco. There is constant and ongoing connection between Israel and NATO, and Israel is regarded a Major non NATO ally, alongside Australia, South Korea and Japan."

Once upon a time, there was another force that was supposed to be protecting Israel.  "After the Suez Crisis in 1956, the United Nations Emergency Force deployed in the Sinai Peninsula in order to serve as a buffer between Israel and Egypt.   But in 1967, Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser demanded that the U.N. forces leave - which they did immediately. Nasser then threatened Israel with annihilation. The Six-Day War followed soon after."   So you can't put 100% of your faith in these outside forces.  Sadly, the NATO forces didn't help  Crimea.

By May 13, 2015, "NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg added: "We are deeply concerned by statements of possible future stationing of nuclear weapons and development systems in Crimea."  Russia  had annexed Crimea in 2014 in a move that was widely condemned by the international community but was greeted as a great patriotic victory at home.
NATO also warned President Vladimir Putin to waste no time in implementing a fragile peace deal to end the fighting in eastern Ukraine, after the Russian strongman's meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday raised hopes of a slackening in tensions.
The latest news in April 2016 is that  "NATO has moved to bolster its forces in its east European member states as a result of the Crimea-Russian fiasco.  Russia is widely accused of covertly backing the rebels who now control much of eastern Ukraine after a bloody armed conflict with the government in Kiev, "  and Ukraine is a NATO member.  "A national security paper was updated to say that NATO's recent build-up of military potential around Russia's borders constituted "violations of norms of international law".
"Tension between NATO and Russia, which both possess huge nuclear arsenals dating back to the Cold War, has clouded international relations since the annexation of Crimea from Ukraine following the peninsula's disputed referendum on self-determination."

This thing is too big.  Trump will not be able to give it up.  It's standing for peace, even though they failed already when bucking Russia.  The problem is money.  Other's have to shell out their fair share.  Some are already shook up and are doing it.  The right words may have been enough already  spoken by Trump in thinking that the biggest pockets are thinking of pulling out.

On the other hand, can or will NATO do anything more about Russia's handling of Crimea and Ukraine?  Is it their role to do so?  If not, what are they paying for?  Can a WWIII start right here?

40% of Europeans Becoming Anti-Semitic Once Again

Nadene Goldfoot
Syrians entering Europe who were fighters, possibly now ISIS members.  This is the fear of seeing single males coming through.

40% of Europeans now hold  anti-Semitic views such as they are behaving like Nazis.  This comes from the increase in their Muslim population of late due to the rise of radical Islam, the refugee crisis, BDS and the rise of the extreme political right in their politics.  It's led to the growth of gated communities for Jews for protection purposes.     "German Chancellor Angela Merkel says anti-Semitism is “more widespread” in Germany than some believe and that action is needed to “deal with it – especially among young people… from countries where hatred of Israel and the hatred of Jews is widespread.”
Other Muslim refugees come by boat and seem to be safe. "The desire for heightened caution in the wake of a terrorist attack is understandable, but the rhetoric from those who think it's impossible to safely take in 10,000 Syrian refugees, out of the more than 4 million who have left their country, goes beyond a simple call for vigilance."  Now we see that even taking in Syrians brings about a growth of anti-Semitism with them.

Refugees blocked in Turkey on the way to Europe
Back to 1933 and the rise of anti-Semitism in Germany.  This was after World War I but was taking place after the Balfour Doctrine when the plans for Israel were now on the table with the League of Nations.

Husseini and Hitler, 1941 Meeting to talk about the Jews
We saw Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Sherif of Jerusalem, who I call the big fish in the little pond, instigated riots with the Muslims in Jerusalem in 1929 and thereon.  This was also the time of an economic crash with the stock market in the USA which probably affected Europe as well.  Wasn't this said to be the time Germans had to take a wheelbarrow full of paper money to buy a loaf of bread?

Muslims Marching to Austria
Now the Europeans in their brilliant way are blaming the Jews for defending themselves when the Muslims attack them to kill.  The Europeans couldn't stop the Nazis who attacked them and had to rely on the USA to bring about an end of WWII.

The Axis altogether lost 8,268,000 people.  This included Germany, Japan, Romania, Hungary, Italy, Austria and Finland.  "According to the census of June 16, 1933, the Jewish population of Germany, including the Saar region (which at that time was still under the administration of the League of Nations), was approximately 505,000 people out of a total population of 67 million, or somewhat less than 0.75 percent."  Yet Hitler had the audacity to blame all their problems on the Jews, who weren't even 1% of their population!

USA Soldiers
The Allies lost 39,963,700 people from 24 different countries.  Out of this number, the USA and Canada were not attacked so there were no civilian deaths.  They lost 400,000 soldiers.  Canada lost 37,000 soldiers.

It must not be forgotten that the Jews were almost exterminated by the murder of 6,000,000 (6 million).  Now the Europeans have turned around and are calling Israelis Nazis?  For shame!  Ignorance knows no barriers, except through education!

There was no Israel when the Holocaust occurred from 1939 to 1945.  Israel came about from the growth of anti-Semitism in Russia with constant pogroms against Jews, and from Easter pageants held against Jews.  It came from a mindset of the Europeans that held that Jews were a lower form of people, even when they excelled.  It came from jealousy and avarice and the desire for power..

Muslims and Jews have different beliefs even though they both believe in one G-d and both live in the Middle East.  Jews are not eager to die.  They hold onto life as much as humanely possible.  Muslims, on the other hand, have the religious belief in that if they die as martyrs for their religion, they will gain immediate rewards including 72 virgins for eternity.  They have been putting Jews in a bad light by dying eagerly for the cause!

Jews are holding onto Israel with all their might that their 6 million population of today can bring forth.  They lost their Israel twice; once in 722 BCE to the Assyrians when the original Israel was attacked and 10 of the 12 tribes were kidnapped.  It happened again to the southern part of Israel named Judah for the remaining tribe who lived there in 70 CE.  This is when Rome had occupied Jerusalem and then decided to burn the city and the Temple down.

Christians have had their times of being reborn again Christians.  Well, we are having our rebirth that finally happened after 2,000 years of patiently waiting for the right time, and here we are-like it or not!  Israel has done more good by creating inventions in medicine and other technologies since 1948 than any European country has  since that same period that have benefited the world.

And what have the Muslims contributed?  Nada.  Nothing.  Only tunnels and bombs used against Israel.  While they try to kill off the Jews, the Jews patch up their people who were in harm's way.  At the same time, there have been Muslims who were eager to die for their cause and put themselves in harms way-either that or their leaders did the dastardly deed.

When Israel was created in 1948, they had a population of 650,000 Jews.  Today they have 6 million for their  one Jewish state.  The Muslims, on the other hand, have had 48 Muslim majority states in the world.  Of course, they have now lost Syria and Iraq to IS as their new caliphate, but that is their own fault.  This is also not counting any new Palestine!  With a population that is killing each other, the Muslim population in the world is about 1.6 BILLION.  This is against 6 MILLION Jews and 1.7 MILLION MUSLIMS who are Israelis.

Israel is not just another state in the world.  It is the ONLY JEWISH STATE and must keep their population to reflect this.  You don't have to be a mathematician to understand this.   It was created to be the haven for Jews suffering from anti-Semitism in the world.  It looks like there is no end to this problem with what is happening to Europe today with 40% of the population being anti-Semitic.

Back in August of 2013, I tried to bring in one Syrian male, age 32 and single, who had a Jewish birth mother and Muslim father and who was raised in a Muslim home.  I could have stood on my head, but nothing I could do could bring this young man into the USA due to religious persecution being he was considered to be Jewish by his family.  He had to remain a secret Jew like the Sephardic Spanish Jews of 1492.  At the time, our State Department had announced that they would admit 2,000 Syrian refugees.  I don't know how they were selected, but no one needed to get out more than this young man who wanted to practice his Judaism and not be a Muslim.  Even Senator Wyden gave me no hope of ever getting him out unless he was a special atomic scientist or something similar.  At this time, a friend, a female friend at that, could not get a male Syrian out and into the USA.  Now the floodgates have been opened, at least in Europe.  At the time, it was not that hard to get into Great Britain, however.  All it ever took was money.

Now, 10,000 refugees will be entering the USA.  " The first transport of Muslim so-called “refugees” just arrived in New Orleans recently and will be resettled in Louisiana and 180 other American communities. " " fact, our own DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson actually said “we don’t know a whole lot” about Syrian refugees coming into America, and that DHS has “no active protocol” for properly screening them." "Jeh Charles Johnson (born September 11, 1957) is an American civil and criminal trial lawyer, and the current United States Secretary of Homeland Security. He was the General Counsel of the Department of Defense from 2009 to 2012 during the first Obama Administration."

Update: 1:10pm--Up to date facts about the refugees arriving in New Orleans and the 180 other cities are not online.  A lot of bogus information about it is online.  Whether or not they have arrived and have been vetted is not known.  This vetting process has been said to take 2 years, and certainly if they have just arrived, they have not been vetted.  As to whether or not this is even possible to do will be amazing since all of their government records will have been lost.  I doubt if anyone can be vetted properly.

The 10,000 Syrian refugees are first flown to the United States, according to the French news wire Agence France-Presse, with the State Department paying the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for the airfare. "

Update: 10:07pm:  Fact: . Since the conflict in Syria began in Fiscal Year 2011, the United States has admitted just over 2,200 Syrian refugees. In Fiscal Year 2016, the Administration remains committed to its goal of resettling at least 10,000 Syrian refugees in the United States.
http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2015/11/250005.htm.   This means it has yet to happen in this year.
9:53am 1/27/16   I just verified this with the rep in Sen. Wyden's office who handles refugee questions.  Refugees have been coming into the USA but only after vetting which has sometimes taken as long as 3 years.  For some it will be impossible to enter if vetting can't occur.

Will my friend be among them?  I doubt it.The last thing he ever wanted to have happen to him was to be resettled for life in a refugee camp.  How these 10,000 will be handled should be different than what has happened in refugee camps in Jordan where they do live in camps.

What can be done about the 40% of Europeans that are admitting anti-Semitic feelings?  Education.  Education and more education.  Ignorance is not bliss.  It's leading to the deaths of innocents.  Muslims have to undertake some education about Jews and Israel.  They've been so brainwashed, it's almost impossible to change their hearts and minds.  It would help immensely if Europeans were better educated too, so they could combat the false allegations when they are confronted with them.  It all starts in the home with the little children.
